MISSING OFFICER'S BODY FOUND

Ar.r, doubt as to the fate of Mr. T. Myers. chief officer of the Kanieri, who has been missing sine© Saturday last, was set at rest yesterday morning by the finding of his body floating in the harbour, near the Hob-son-street Wharf. As two men named E. J. Sturch and Richard Motion, were coming off a night shift at six a.m., they noticed the body of a man floating upright in til© water, and at, once informed Constable Tait, who secured the body, which proved to be that of the missing man. and conreyed it to the morgue. The pockets of the clothing on the body were found to be full of stones. An inquest will be held at Oleeson's Hotel at ten o'clock this morning.
