HANDSOME TROPHIES DONATED.

Tin-: forthcoming winter show, to be held by the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association, is likely to attract some very handsome "trophies from city business linns. The Farmers' Freezing Company is offering a challenge shield, or trophy, to the value of 50 guinea-, and Captain Worsp, who is having for Home shortly, has been requested by the directorate to select a suitable trophy, and it may be taken, accordingly, thai something very handsome will be offered for competition. The trophy is. to be competed for in the district or county bay section, tinder conditions yet to be arranged, but it is expected that the trophy will be competed for for a period of nine years, each first prize taker holding it for the ensuing year, and at the end of the nine-year period the trophy to become the property of the district gaining most points over the whole period.

The Wed del cup. mention of which has been made before, is valued at 25 guineas, and has just, been selected by Mr. Weddel, in London. It. is for most points in the grading points competition for factories exporting butter from Auckland.
