There was a. steady south-west breeze, with smooth sea, for the deciding race for the La Carabine Cup to-day. Rawhiti and S.J.S. were the only competitors, and the latter had an allowance of 30m. 4s. The local boat was out of the race before half tin l distance was covered, mainly through bad judgment in sticking to the coast between Brighton and HalfMoon Bay. After deducting time allowance Rawhiti won by 11m. 455., thus securing the cup.
