SWIMMING.

To-night in the Albert-street baths a swimming carnival will be held under the auspices of the Auckland centre. There should be a good attendance of the public, and the racing should be interesting. Special arrangements have been made for the comfort of spectators. The handicaps appeared in yesterday's Herald. In these the handicapper made a mistake, taking the name Bell to be Bull in the Royal and Waitemata Handicaps. Instead of " Bull " receiving 9s. in the first-mentioned race it should be 11. Bell Is. behind scratch, and the same in the Waitemata. Handicap.
