THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL.
ARRIVAL OF TDK SONOMA
The mail steamer Sonoma arrived from San Francisco and Island ports on Saturday afternoon, anil being granted pratiqiio iM'rlhed at Jel.iv No. 2. The Sonoma made the voyage from the Califont tan port- in 20 days 20 hours 50 millutes, including detentions at Honolulu and ]'»•>■) l'a.uo, the actual -teaming lime being 19 days lb hours 7 minutes.
The -learner had a fair number of pas--e>i"-ei's for New Zealand and Australia, there being 47 in the first saloon, 10 in the second saloon, and one in the steerage for Auckland, and 3fa saloon, 9 second saloon, and 6 steerage for Australia.
The cargo by tho steamer consisted of 2712 tons of general merchandise, of which 91'/ tons were landed at, Auckland, including 15,600 boxes of green fruit for all NewZealand ports. There wore, also two trot ling horses by the steamer consigned to Lvttelton.
