For the second day of the Nelson races the weather was perfect and the attendance good. The investments amounted to £2992, making £6018 tor the meeting. A bitterly cold wind was blowing throughout the afternoon and affected the attendance. The mini el £3159 was put through the totalisator, making £6294 for the meeting, an increase of £250 on last, year. The racing was good in the majority of the events, and the big dividend of £48 7s was returned in the mile trot on Uidy Vanelare.
