INVERCARGILL, Thursday. It is stated that steps are being taken to test the legality of the new regulations regarding brewery depots. If the regulations hold good, the depots at the Waihopai will have to be shifted five miles. A local brewer intends to apply to the judge of the Supreme Court for a man damns compelling the Collector of Customs to issue a, permit for the removal of beer to the depots where they now stand, on the grounds that the regulations are ultra vires, and cannot he made retrospective.
