Waihi, Wednesday. A rrßLi'c meeting in connection with the Seddon memorial fund was held on Monday. The Mayor explaned that some time ago a meeting was called for the purpose of doing something to commemorate the memory of the late Mr. Seddon, ■■and it was decided at that meeting to raise money by public subscription, 25 per cent, of the amount collected to be given to the national memorial fund, and the. balance retained by the local committee. The total amount collected was £75 lis, and the meeting would be called upon to decide the particular manner in which the money was to lie spent.
