POLITICAL LABOUR LEAGUE.
The usual fortnightly meeting of the Political Labour League was held at 23. Palmerston Buildings, last evening, the president (Mr. H. L. Horning) in the chair.
Munc-ipal Elections: A letter was received from the secretary of the Trades and Labour Council, stating that that body had considered the question of running six candidates for the municipal elections, together with six from the Political Labour League— thus making up a ticket of twelve. . The letter stated that the Trades and Labour Council had unanimously adopted the proposal, and pointed out that the Trades Council candidates would probably he selected at their next meeting. A discussion arose as to the platform to be signed, by all the candidates, and a motion was carried that the league appoint a committee to act with a committee from the Trades and Labour Council to draw up a common platform. The following were elected as the league's six candidates: —Messrs. Aggers, Rowland. Way, Davis, Moxou. Mason. The following delegates were appointed to wait on the Trades arid Labour Council re platform : Messrs. Horning, I'aw cue, Park, •Webb, Sharpies, Ryland.
