PIETERMARITZBUEG, Nov. 14,. The Natal natives arc claiming the right to buy guns, right of private meeting, increased powers for chief';, substitution of another tax for the house tax, and representation in Parliament by whites elected by the chief indunas and the educated natives.
The, recent rebellion arose ostensible out of the imposition of an increase iu the house tax, which is levied on whit* and black alike. In Capo. Colony the franchise qualification i.« ability to read and write, and manv natives vote.
