NEW ZEALAND POWER BOAT ASSOCIATION.
The New Zealand Power Boat Association will open the season on Friday next (King's Birthday). The following are the orders for the day:—All launches assemble east of Railway Wharf at half-past nine a.m. to receive instructions. They will proceed up the harbour in single line, the commodore leading, thence round the coal hulk and down the harbour as far as Campbell's Point, returning up the harbour line abreast, the commodore at the south end of the line! On arrival off the coal hulk all the boats are to go about on port helm, anil procteu down the harbour, keeping their former stations, hue abreast, to Campbell's Point At this point the boats will form up three abreast, and proceed up the harbour as far as the coal hulk, the three commodores leading. They will then proceed round the hulk to the centre, of the harbour, off Queenstreet Wharf. Hero the launches will again break into single file, at a distance of three boats' lengths apart, the smallest boat, astern. She will remain stationary while the others wheel in a complete circle, on the port helm, around her. At the end of the evolutions all the boats will proceed up the harbour for a short distance, except the flagship, which will take up a position off the .Queen-street Wharf, opposite the crane while the fleet will pass down the harbour! between the flagship and the wharf, for the purpose of saluting the commodore. The rendezvous will be arranged before the commencement of the evolutions.
