SPECIAL ORDER. MAKING BY-LAWS. The Mount Albert Road Board hereby gives Notice that it is its intention at its Next Ordinary Meeting, to be held at the Road Board Office, Morningside, on MONDAY, the sth November, 1906, to confirm a resolution intended to operate as a Special Order, passed at a meeting of the Board held on the Ist October, making By-laws in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by " The Road Boards Act, 1882," and by The Public Works Act, 1905," and by Part XI. of " The Counties Act, 1886." These By-laws, inter alia, prohibit the commission of certain offences on roads, including riding and driving on a footpath, discharging firearms and fireworks, lighting fires, failing to have any horse under proper control, impeding traffic, driving by night without sufficient lights, and, further, prohibits the traffic in scoria, metal, soil, boulders, or stone over Richardson Road, unless the cost, as estimated by the Board, of reinstating the road is previously paid to the. said Board.
