Ernest Schoenberg, a labour leader, has been acquitted on the charge of libelling Dr. Lenhartz, director of the Eppendorf State Hospital at Hamburg. Evidence was given for the defence that the corpses of patients were sold systematically to the medical colleger. After the coffins had been nailed down in the presence of the relatives they were reopened and filled with sand. Dr. Lenhartz. while admitting this, declared that all had been clone in the interests of science.
