WAIHI BAND CONTEST.
[BY TELEGRAPH. — CORRESPONDENT.] Waihi, Friday. Tire band contest at Waihi on November 8 and 9 promises to be very successful! At a meeting of the committee last night it was reported that the following bands would take part in the quickstep and test selection (''La Traviata") competitions:—First Regimental Auckland Mounted Rifles, Hauraki Battalion No. 2, Hauraki Brass Band, Karangahake Brass Band, Hamilton Municipal Band, Rotorua Band. Euphonium solo: F. Langton (First Regimental Auckland Mounted Rifles Band), B. Munro (Hamilton Municipal Band), G. Clark (Second Hauraki Battalion Band), F. Lawn (Second Hauraki Battalion Band), G. Tangye (Hauraki Brass Band). Quartettes (own choice): First Regimental Auckland Mounted Rifles Band, Hauraki Brass Band, Second Hauraki Battalion Band, Hamilton Municipal Band, Cambridge Town Band. E. flat horns: W. Ramsey. W. \\nson (First, Auckland Mounted Rifles Regimental Band), Geo. Smith (Hamilton Municipal Band), J. M. Robinson (Second Hauraki Battalion Band), C.
