The conference between representatives ol the employers and the men in the coal-' trade here was continued to-day, without result. It will probably bo continued until Friday. The colliery owners at the meeting to-day agreed that the night shift should be' abolished at one mine from March 31. and at \ others from. June 30 next. It is 'understood the miners will have to decide tomorrow whether they will accept this 'compromise. On the answer will depend whether the mines shut down or work is continued. "*'•• :
