THE ZULU REBELLION.
BISHOP OF ZULULAND'S CHARGES. By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright, ■■"■;"• (Received September 19. 9.38 p.m.) Pietlrmaritzburo, September 19. Mr. Justice Beaumont, of Natal, in his report on the charges made by the Bishop of Zululand (the Rev. Dr. Vyvyan), acquits Royston's Horse of the accusations made, but says the Bishop was justified in calling atten- . tion to the information he had received. The Bishop said that natives had been shot in cold blood and that cattle of loyal natives had been looted by Royston's Horse. The reply of Colonel Royston was that some rebel prisoners had been unavoidably shot when attempting' to escape, and that cattle had beer taken where it was believed the natives were rebels.
