George Farley'has commenced training for his New Zealand tour. He is probably going to Sydney for the Eight Hour' races.
The Victorian League bad a very successful year, which started with a credit balance of £95 and ended with £147. Mr. George Broadbent has been reappointed handicapper to the league at a salary of £100 per year. " A world's record entry of 260 has been received for the annual Warmambool to Melbourne race, which eventuates on September 22. The following riders who took part in the Timaru to Christchurch road race have entered:— P. M. O'Connor (Cricklewoodl, A. Birch (Fendalton). H. F. Henderson (Palmerstofc North), H. E. Mehrtens (Christchurch), G. H. Smith (Riecarton), E. F. Boyce (Wanganui), and T. C. Campbell (Mount Soiners). Dick Arn.st. who is going for rowing honours, and was supposed to have retired from cycling, caught the fever again recently, and intended to start- in the 50 miles road championship of New South Wales, which he won last year. His supporters, who are hoping that be will be the world's sculling champion, however, vetoed the proposal, and he had to stand down.
