A" very successful concert was held in Allen's East Taiiiaki Hall on Friday evening,' promoted by the School Committee at Flat Bush, to, provide funds for sports for the children at. ' their animal picnic. Much credit is clue to the committee -for thoughtfulness on' behalf of the children attending their school, and for giving the residents of the district such a pleasant evening's entertainment. The performers were all from without the district, and were all well received, every item on the programme being encored, Mr. Absolum: with his .humorous songs being the cause of much merriment. A farce entitled " Borrowed Plumes," by members of the choir of Holy Trinity Church, Otdhuhu, was also well rendered.' * For colds !
