1 • ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. ."' . The anniversary services- of the Primitive Methodist Mission,, Great North Road,' were largely attended; on-Sunday' last, when Mr, Jethro. Lock 5> and the' Reva. T. CoatsW'ortli. and W. S. Potter '-' 'were the preachers. The' social gathering, held on Tuesday evening, was presided over by Mr. 1 D. Goldie, and addresses were given by the Revs. I G. Clement, W. S. Potter, Mr. J. Watkinson, and 5 the chairman. Miss. Wilding and Miss Willis j sang solos, and the Misses Clarke, "'Mr. and Miss , Webster sang duets. Mr. J. Woodcock recited a |- sacred poem. : Mr. J. Cp'ad- submitted the financial report, which was'of an encouraging characr ter. Pleasing reference was made to the pro--1 gress of '-.tho- mission and refreshments were 1 handed- round. .; .-.."■ 1 - - , - . . 1.-,:; ' . ■.'■'■ : - ■'~ "■ PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN'S MISSION. : The annual meeting of the Auckland Presbyterian Women's Mission Union was held in St 1 Davids Hall, Khyber Pass, yestefday afternoon, s and was largely attended. Mr. A. J. Entrican presided,, and associated with him on the platform were the president (Mrs. W. Gray Dixon), the moderator of the Auckland Presbytery '(the. 1 E"'„ 1, ■*• Macnieoi)., and the Revs. (}. 13. Monro, ■W. Gray Dixon, R. Sommerville, J. C, Janiieson, 2 and A. Macau ley Caldwell. The fourth annual report stated that the annual-meeting was being - held three month* earlier this year so as to follow out the new constitution, 'and the report - therefore only covered nine months' work. It , was with deep thankfulness and pleasure that . the of seven new branches was ret ported, viz., St." Peter's, Otara, Edendalc. Rotorua. Nort-licote, Pukekohe, and St. James', all of which - promised to become of great help to the mis- ; eipna of the churah. The Maori Mission ?, Birthday League had been taken up 1 well by ■ the ; branches, and it was hoped that 3 it would bring in ,1 considerable amount annually » towards the Maori -mission. The advisability of ; forming. » general mission of the Presbyterian , Church of New Zealand was considered. After i discussion of the proposed new constitution it • was, with a few amendment*-,, adopted unani--5 'mously. Reports were also read from the various - branches. The balance-sheet for the nine months 1 showed an increase in receipts of £45 .13s 3d, : when compared with those for the preceding 12 1 months. The total 'amount' allocated by the vari--1 ous branches', of home- and foreign missions was 5 £42 14s 2d. The Rev. A. Macauley Caldwell moved the adoption of the report and balancesheet, which was carried. The election of officers I for the ensuing year resulted as follows :—l'resi--1 dent, Mrs. W. Gray Dixon; vice-president, Mrs. Macaulay Caldwell; eecretarr, Mr.-. ' palls; and treasurer, Mrs. Goodfellow. * Solas were con--1 tributed by Miss'. Stewart and Captain Young. .
