GROWN LANDS FOR HALE AND LEASE.

Si'.VKK.Ar, important sales of Crown land will be held at the Courthouse, Rolorua, next mouth. They comprise a number of sections in.• Rotorua, some village sections -and second-class surveyed kind, all in the Rotorua county. On August 1 applications will be received- for 17 selections of secondclass .surveyed bind, of a- total area of 3628 acres and 34 perches. The land, which .surrounds- (lie village of Kukahi, a short distance Jffoui ..Rotorua, may be purchased tight out for cash, 1 or selected for occupalion■ with right of purchase or lease iu perpetuity. Fifteen of the selections, which range from 130 acres to 307 acres, are described as second-class heavy bush land, ai.d the remaining two selections, of 209 acres amd 295 acres respectively, are secondclass scrub land:' In the event of more than one application being received for the same .selection, a ballot will bo held on Friday, August 3, at 10 o'clock, tit Rolotua. ' •* On. the afternoon of August 3 a number of sections in the town of Rotorua will -be offered for lease at auction. These comprise two sections fronting Tarawa Road, six sections having a frontage to Fentonstreet and Ti-street, 15 sections fronting Tistreet (the land occupying*each wide of the street), and lour sections haying a frontage to Ti-street and the -Wuiroa-Maketu Road. The lease in each case is for 99 yeans. In addition there aire 22 sections facing Oniahau-strect, Rtmolf-street, hh'irera,street, and Omahia-strect. Then there are four sections abutting on Enteral, Onmhau, and Tutanekai Streets. These latter sections a.'so front the railway reserve,- and are to be leased for 30 years. The village sections include. 40 sections in the village of Kakahi, which are to be offered for sale for cash on August 3. The sections are all close to the main road to Rotorua and Taurangsii. The village is situated about 13 miles front Rotorua, and about, eight miles ' from the Ngongotaha, railway . station. * Thirty-four sections', da the village of Ngawaro. ; about 19 miles from Rolofiiiii, are also to be ottered for sale: These are in a good' position.
