THE TYPHOD OUTBREAK AT RAWHITI.
A PATIENT DIES.

Russell, Sunday. Ten fever patients were brought from Rawhiti on .Friday, to the temporary hospital near Russell. One of .the patients, a young married daughter, of Mrs. Parke, died on Saturday afternoon. The body was conveyed, to Rawhiti by the s.s. Ida this morning. The husband of the deceased is a patient at the hospital. Much sympathy is expressed ■ for th© mother of the deceased, who has- lost three children.. She appears to be mentally affected through grief, and resisted the removal to the extent of smashing one of the boats with an axe. The poor woman, also chased the chairman of the County Council •with the weapon.
