ENGLISH IMMIGRANTS.

•■: ■ ■;■ Wellington, Saturday. The Paparoa landed 107 immigrants from London to-day. The newcomers were met by an' officer of the Labour Department, who says he considers ; that the men are a very satisfactory contingent.
[BY '~ TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Sunday. ' The new arrivals by the Paparoa are optimistic, and believe that they will'better themselves in this new soil, and will not sigh for tjie land they have left behind them. The arrivals include 16 pick-and-shovel men and seven farm labeurers, and there is a long list of trades which have a representative. Englishmen, with a. tally of 56 men, are easily in the ascendant, Scotland follows with 16, and Ireland sends only three men. • •
