The annual meeting of the Ngaruawahia Regatta Association was held on Thursday. Sir. I'ltstpatrick presided. The annual report and balance-sheet were presented.. The latter showed a small debit balance of £27 18s 11(1. This fact is to be explained bv the increase of prize money. and the very unfavourable weather on regatta day. The railway receipts showed a falling oft' of £19. as compared with the. previous year The expenses had •bean'£l43 2a sd, as against £122 10s 3d in 1935. Simpson, Paddy. Duxtield; committee, Messrs Fuller. Graves, Patersou. Misses Blmsly. Kay. Lcckie, Thorns, Lynch; treasurer. Mr. T. Paterson; auditor, Mr. E. James; secretary, Air. E. Rathbone. Ironmongery department: Have you seen our window? The largest and best assorted range of brass, copper, and repousse coal. vases, fenders, fivetrous, lamp stands, and bedsteads we have ever shown. Special line in brass rail fenders at 9s 6d: cheaper line at 5s 3d; coal vases with brass mountings only 5s 6d: tire ■ brasses in keeping.— Tonson Uarliek Co. Dr. Guinness has consented to give the lecture* on "'First Aid to the Injured" to ladies at Dc'vpii|>ort. The first lecture will bo. given at the Municipal Chambers 1 on Wednesday next, at- p.m.
