GOLF. MIXED FOURSOME* MATCH ON CORNWALL LINKS- ' ; ABOUT 60 players took part in the ini.te:l foursoincs at the Cornwall Park links on Saturday.- The links were in good condition considering the heavy weather of last week. Miss Torrance and P. Laurence won with a net. s.coroof 96, and were presented by Dr.' Hope Lewis with the .prizes given by himself, viz.. a. handsome" silver trinket box for the lady, and silver-top inkstand for the gentleman. The first round of a handicap match, for a prize presented by . some members of the committee, was played on the • Waitemata Golf Club's links, at theTakapuna racecourse, on Saturday, and resulted as follows:—-T. H. Macky beat R. Macky. three up and two to play; X. P. Wyatt beat E. L. Hall, four up and three to play: Dr. Guinness beat H. G. Cousins,■ two up and one to play: T. Macky beat \V. N. Philson, one up (on last green); A. 1. John? beat 8. H. Macky, one up (on last green; .1. C. Macky beat B. Buddie, five up and four to play; A. F. Strtithers a bye. The- following is the draw for the second round, to be played next Saturday;—A. T. Johns v. J. C. Macky. T. H. Macky v. T. Macky. A. P. Struthers v. X. P. Wyatt, Dr. Guinness a bye. BOWLING. The following games were played on the Rocky Nook green on Saturday afternoon:— Semi-final HaiKlicao'Singles: Bouskill, 22, v. Cutler. 18; final. Bouskill. 24. v. Scott. 15. Hall. Hodgson. Wakerley (skip), 15, v. White, Everett. Itathbone (skip), 19 Hewitt. Shove. Button (skip), 24, v. Ricks, Patterson. Kayes. 17. The remaining members of the club played progressive pairs, seven pairs competing. J. K. Whitakcr and J, W. (skip), went through without a loss. The club hold a. drawing and driving competition to-day. and play will commence at half-past ten o'clock sharp.
