On Saturday last the whole-of-the ware-hp-uscr employees of the Tonson Garlick Company assembled to bid farewell to Mr. C E, Wood (one" of the furniture salesmen), who is* leaving; for England. Garlick), in presenting Mr. Wood, on behalf of the staff, with a handsome leather bag and' travelling '-rii<*;. expressed the.wish that Mr. Wood might ' one day return to* the firm's employ.

Shepherd, who has - been appointed assistant master at Newmarket school. M. Worsley expressed the ~ i regret they all felt at Mr. Shepherd's departure and good wishes for his future. Miss ■ .
