WAIKATO HOUNDS.

The Waikato Hounds met oil Wednesday last at Green Hill. ■ th:« being the -.opening day for the Awamutu district. The. hounds, threw* off on the paddock, adjoining the racecourse, and it waa not long before the pack were' in full cry', and a. good number were in at the kill. After a. short interval the hounds were taken over towards the tsgaroto aide of the estate and a hare was soon afoot. This was a capital run, puss taking her followers over some of the best hunting ground. The hare was eventually lost. The afternoon was now well advanced and the pack was whipped off.
