THE VISITING WARSHIPS.
Lieftkn-ant Stone* of the United: States „ .warship Baltimore, accompanied by Consuli General Prickett, called upon the .Mayor .(Mr. A. M. Myers) yesterday morning. The call was returned in the afternoon by '■■ the Mayor and the town clerk (Mr. IT. W. Wilson). Captain Sargent, of the Baltimore, is at present in ill-health. The chairman of the Harbour Board (the Hon. E. Mitchelson), the secretary (Mr. J. M. Brigham), and the harbour master (Captain Duder) paid an official visit to the Baltimore yesterday morning, and were courteously received by the officers of ' tie vessel, and extended to the ship and officers the courtesies of the port. The Mayor (Mr. A. M. Myers) will entertain Captain Sargent and officers of the U.S.S. Baltimore, n.nd Captain Begas and officers of the Imperial German man-of-war Condor, at dinner at the Northern Club this evening. Members of the Consular body and other official visitors have also been invited to the dinner.
