I hereby give notice thai a Meeting of Ratepayers of the City of Auckland will be held on MONDAY, the 30th day of April. 19C6, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m.. at St. James' Hall. Wellington-street, Auckland, to consider separately each of the following proposals of the Auckland City Council, to wit: 1. For the purpose of enabling the Auckland City Council to provide the necessary funds for the completion of the Refuse Destructor at Auckland, which work is already effected. TO BORROW a sum not exceeding £8000. at a rate of interest not exceeding £4J per cent, per annum upon the security of the Revenue of the City of Auckland, subject to the existing loans chargeable on such revenue, and. to make such, loan repayable in 21 years, and to make provision for the payment of a sinking fund of £J per cent, per annum, and to pay out of the loan such costs, charges, and expenses as the Auckland City Council may determine to have bsen actually incurred in, connection with Such loan, but. not to pay out of the loan the interest thereon for the first year. 2. For the purpose of enabling the Auckland City Council to provide the necessary fands for the erection of additional buildings in Victoria Park, Auckland, TO BORROW a sura of not exceeding £2000, at a rate of interest not exceeding: £4J per cent, per annum upon the security of the Revenues of the City of Auckland, subject to the existing loans chargeable on such revenues, and to make such loan repayable in 21 years, and to make provision for the payment of a sinking fund of £.V per cent, per annum, and to pay. out of the loan such costs, charges and expenses as the Auckland City Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan, but not to pay out of i. the loan the interest thereon for the first year.
3. For the purpose of enabling the Auckland City Council to provide the necessary funds for the acquisition of additional land, fronting Queen and Grey Streets, Auckland, as an extension of the existing Town Hall Site, and the erection upon such site as extended of a. building for the purposes of a Town Hall for the City of Auckland, and the furnishing and otherwise ■ equipping such bidding for ;i;e pur'poses' of such Town Hall. TO BORROW a sum not exceeding £80,000, -at \ a. rate of interest not exceeding ,£4J per cent, per annum, upon the security of the lands comprising the said Extended Town Hall Site and the buildings thereon erected, and the revenues of the City of Auckland, subject to the existing loans chargeable on such revenues, and to make such loan repayable in 21 years, and t» make provision for the payment of a sinking fund of £J per cent, per annum, and to pay out of the loan such costs, charges, and expenses as the Auckland City Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan, and the interest- thereon for the first year. 4. For the purpose of enabling the Auckland City Council to provide the necessary funds for the erection of a Traffic Bridge as authorised by " The Auckland Cemetery Bridge and City Borrowing Act. 1905. over that portion of the Symonds-street Cemetery described in the Schedule to the lastmentioned Act, in reinforced FerroOoucrete. at a cost of £30,000. TO BORROW a sum not exceeding £30,000, at a rate of interest not ejtresd'ntr £4i per cent, per annum, upon the security of the revenues of uie City of Auckland, subject to the existing loans chargeable On such revenues, and to make such loan repayable in 21 years, and to make provision for the payment of a sinking fund of at least £, per cent, per annum, to pay out of the loan such costs, charges, and expenses as the Auckland City Council may- determine to have been actually incurred in connection with suoh loan and the interest thereon for the first ear. 6. For the purpose of enabling the Auckland City Council to provide the necessary funds for the erect of a Bridge for the use of foot passengers over such portion of the Symondsstreet Cemetery and the lands adjacent thereto, as was traversed by the former bridge, called or known as the Cemetery Bridge, and recently willed down. TO BORROW a sum not exceeding £2000, at a rate of interest not, exceeding £4?, per cent, per- annum, upon the security of the Revenues of the C;ty of Auckland, subject to the existing loans chargeable on such revenues, and to make such loan repayable in 21 years, and to make provision for the payment of a sinking fund of at least £1 per cent, per annum, and to pay out of the loan such rosts, charges, and expenses as the Auckland City Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan and the interest thereon for the first year. 6. For the purpose of enabling the Auckland City Council to provide the necessary funds for the installation of an Electric Power Plant for the City of Auckland. TO BORROW a sum not exceeding £25.000, at a rate of interest not exceeding £41 per cent, per annum, upon the security of the said Electric Power Plant when installed, and the revenues derivable therefrom (subject to tlie payment out of such revenues* of all expenses of working . such plant* and the revenues of the City of Auckland (subject to the existing loans chargeable- on such revenues), and to make such loan repayable in 21 years, and to make provision for the payment, of a sinking*, fund of £i per cent, per annum, and to nay out of the lean such costs, charges, 'and expenses as the Auckland City Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan and the interest thereon for the first year.
