Wellington, Monday. Owing to the illness of the Auditor-General and -Deputy-Auditor-General, the Govern 1 nient has been compelled to make a temporary appointment, and Mr. J. W. Poynlon, Public Trustee, has been appointed Deputy-Auditor-General.
