CANADIAN LIVE STOCK.

A BILL TALKED OUT. By Telegraph.—Press Association—Copyright. (Received April 7. 4.53 p.m.) London, April 7. In the House of Commons a Bill allowing the importation of Canadian live stock was talked out. Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman said he would leave the matter for the House to decide, though he favoured the system in vogue prior to 1896, subject to the discretion of the Board of Agriculture. Mr. W. H. Long insisted on the existing restrictions as necessary to safeguard British cattle. If the Board of Agriculture were allowed to speak they would say the same.
