WAIKATO HUNT CLUB.
A JiIiETISG of members of lie Waikato Hunt Club was held ou Friday evening Inst, the master (Mr. Norman Banks) presiding;. The chairman's action in arranging: for several move hounds from Mr. Sol by, of r.tkurauga hounds, conditionally that the Waikato Club purchased some pups, was approved. Mr. Not man Cants was re-elected master, and the following deputy-masters were appointed for the various centres . — Hamilton and Whatawhata, Mr. 11- Worsp; Ohaupo, To Awamutu, and Kihikihi. Mr W. Taylor ; Matangi and Newstead, Mr. R. Oodd ; Cambridge, Mr. Wymi-lirown. Mr. ('. C. lhiekland >.v:i« elected lion, secretary. The question of the hounds visiting the neighbouring districts was discussed, and in respect of those from which insufficient support has been obtained by way of members' fees, it was decided that they I*' 'written to and asked if they would guarantee £5 for .each meet, how many meets would be required,- and what the probable expenses would be A suggestion that three meets each should be held at Hamilton and Tamahere was favourably received, and referred to the Meets Committee. The master's action in arranging that the club should contribute £10 towards a fifteenguinea cup for the , best hunter at the Waikato Central A. and P. Show was endorsed. It was agreed to wait on the executive of the association, and endeavour to get them to contribute more liberally in the future towards the jumping events, which form such a popular feature from the spectators' point of view.
