LAWN TENNIS.
Tho Easter tournament occupies the attention of players next week. A start will he made on. Friday next, but the association has arranged that those who do not care to play on Good Friday shall bo allowed equal rights with, the other players. The entries received have exceeded all expectations, and it now depends on the weather being fine to make the meeting a great success. I have been asked to note the arrangements made for the conveyance cf competitors to the courts. On Good Friday two 'buses will leave town, one at one p.m. and the.other at half-past one p.m.. returning at half-past five and six p.m. No 'buses will bo running on the other days, but players can easily reach the courts from Epsom, taking the tram to Jones' store and walking, a matter of about 15 minutes. Afternoon tea will bo provided' on the ground at sixpence, but competitors are requested to make their own arrangements for luncheon. Programmes with full particulars will be obtainable from the club •secretaries on Monday or Tuesday next. Last. Saturday tho various club courts were well patronised, and a number of matches- were played. 1 hope to be able to announce at an early date the winners of all the events in the club tournaments. : "' The entries for the Easter handicap are very satisfactory—viz., 43 for the men's singles; ladies' singles, 16; men's, double.*, 22; ladies' doubles-, 19; and combined doubles, 33. - - . - .
