At a meeting of the Trades and Labour Council, a communication was received from the Labour Department requesting the Council to recommend the me of some person tor appointment to the newly-created Implement Inquiry Board, to represent the workers. It was resolved to recommend that the president, Mr. A. H. Cooper, be appointed,, It is understood that all the trades councils in the colony are being requested to recommend representatives, and that the Government will make appointments from the list submitted. At its next meeting the Council will consider the following motion:—"That the Council has no confidence in the Arbitration Uourt as at present constituted, and as a matter of urgency, recommends the annual conference *to consider the position."
