. London. February 28. In the case of the Bishop of St. Albans v. Fillingham. the defendant having submitted and expressed regret for his error, the Dean of Arches (Sir Lewis Dibdin) has modified his judgment, and has suspended defendant- for two years. ,

The Rev. R. C. Fill" lgham, vicar of Hextern. Herts, was charged with purport ing to ordain Mr. A. C. White with authority to minister the Word and Sacraments; with preaching and administering the Holy Communion in an unconsecrated building; and with disobedience to the lawful commands of the Bishop. The Court, ordered that unless defendant expressed regret for his acts within a fortnight he be sentenced to deprivation of office.
