Recipes.—l. Make a good stuffing.^ with breadcrumbs, chopped suet, pepper.', and' salt, chopped parsley, and bind together with a beaten egg. Take a good-sized fresh mullet, wash and dry . thoroughly,- fill with stuffing, and sew up. Bake in oven about half an hour, basting frequently with dripping. Cost, ll'd. 2. Make a boiled custard with half a pint of milk and a dessertspoonful of custard powder, 1 sweeten to I taste. Serve with stowed fruit, ,■ both either hot or, cold, but : the latter is .best; - Cost, "sd. .*.'3.'
