D. Yonge, the energetic secretary, for his ; valuable services. Mr. R. L. Absolum officiated as judge, and Mr. F. W. Edwards (in "the absence of Mr. C. O'Connor) acted as starter. A sum of £1560 10s was passed through the totalizator in 10s tickets during the afternoona decrease of £437' when 'compared with the amount ' pas-sod through on the same day last year. - The total amount handled during the three days i was £4684, or £1215 10s less thru during ■ the corresponding meeting of Ijos, wh- r. j £5899 10s was passed through. The latter two drew level on entering the straight in the run home, but were unable to eateh Red Wilkes, who ran a good race, never breaking once, and won by a dozen lengths.
