HAMILTON' CUP MATCHES. The third round of cup matches of the Hamilton Association was played on . Sydney Square on Saturday afternoon between the Hamilton . and • Frankton teams. Hamilton won by 23 run?. Shepherd, for Hamilton, made 43 runs, and Pomeroy, for Franor, •? - .-..'.•'.■ THAMES MATCHES. [BY TEI.HGP.APH.—OWX COBR£SPOXDEXT.] Thames, Monday. The uncompleted matches, Tararu v. City and City South v. foundry, were concluded on Saturday, the former resulting in a win for City by 39' run«. Ci'.v batted first, and declared the innings closed with five wickets down for 101 runs, of which Wilkes (not out) scored 38, Kifehing 29, and Fiord IV. Tararu, requiring 63 runs to win. then went in to the wickets, but only succeeded in putting together 29. the small score being due principally to the excellent bowling of Floyd. In the match City South v. Foundry, the latter went first to the wicket*, having a lead of 23 from the first innings, and succeeded in putting together 74, City South requiring 103 to win. The principal scorer for Foundry was 11. Kinghain with 29 to his credit. City South made a determined stand from the start, and succeeded in patting together 102 for the innings, thus iieing with their opponents. A. 3lartin was the principal scorer, putting together 41 rung, Hansen (14) and Killing (12) being the other best scorers. •
