AUSTRALIA'S FINANCIAL STANDING.
CAUSES OF PREJUDICE. By Telegraph.—Frew Association.— Copyrijht, London, February 4. The Agent-General for New South Wales (Mr. Coghlan), in a letter to the Times, denies that he has suggested that the prejudice arising from the Chinese question had influenced immigration to Australia. He had merely cited the prejudice as one of the factors affecting the price of Australian securities in London. He reiterates his complaint against the attitude of the Australian financial correspondent of the Times.
