Nkw Zealand Herald Office, Monday evening. The Bharemarket was fairly active to-day. In standard stooks buyers of Bank of New Kealands advanced to £8 *s, without leading to business. Buyers of National Banks epioted £6 2s, and sellers demanded £6 12s 6d, no sales. New Zealand Insurance? changed hands at £5 16s, and late sellers asked £5 17s, late buyers £5 15s. In mining stocks Waiotahis sold at £6 3s, £6 3s 6d, and £6 3s, closing with inquiry at £6 2s, sellers £6 3s. Talismans were a bit easier, selling from 51s to 29s 6d. Late sellers quoted 29s Bd, buyers offered 29s 4d. KuranuiCalcdonians firmed, and business was done from 2s 8d to 3s to 2s lOd. More wer*> wanted at 2s lOd, late sellers 2s lid. New May Queens wore a point easier, and after Bales from 5s 7d to 5s 8d to 5s 6d, closod with sellers at 5s 6d, buyers 5s sd. New Darts told at I£d; late sellers 4£d, buyers 4d. At Messrs R. Arthur and Co.'s saleroom, City Market, several properties in Mount Eden district were offered for sale.
