C'HHiSTfHURCB, Wednesday. At the Addington live stork maikct to-day there were again fairly large entries of f-tock and it good attendance. Beef was much easier, and fat lambs were not so linn as the previous week. There was a good demand lor s'oie wethers and rape iambs, but ewes were dull of sale Pigs met with a slightly increased demand. Fat ewes fold mnoli better than la=t week, and wethers maintained their values. There was only modem ate inquiry for store cattle and dairy cows.

. Store sheep: There were over .30,000 store sheep yarded, and most of the lines of ewes were passed, but there was a good inquiry for wethers and forward lambs for finishing off. The principal sales were: 236 two-tooth ewes, 17s 6d: 91 aged. 7s 4d : 107 at 5s 9d : 207 four-tooth wethers. Wethers showed r-o change in values. The range of prices was: Prime wethers, 13s to 20s 4d: others, 16s to 17s Dd; prime heavy ewes, 16s to 18s 2d; extra, to 295; medium, 13s to las 6d ; aged, 10< to 12* 6:1; merino v/ethers, 10s to lis 6d.

Fat cattle: The supply of beef comprised £B.i head, most- of which were bce'ers and cows, and generally the quality of the yarding was Dot up to the average. This fact, and the largeness ol the yarding, caused price to be much easier. Seven steers from Mi. W. 0. Rutherford (Montrose) made £7 12s Oil to £9 2« 6d, and other steers brought £5 17a 6d to £3 2s 6d ; heifers, £4 15s to £6 17a 6d; cows, £4 17s 6d to £6 10s, equal to 20s to 23s for prime and 16s to 1S« for infeiior to medium jter 1001b. Veal calves sold at 7s 6d to 40-.

Store cuttle: There was a large entry of store cattle, including a line of seveial hundred three and four-year-old steers from Kaikoura. all grown and a healthy lot of cattle, and one of the belt line?
