DUTCH CONVOY AMBUSHED.

By Telegraph.—riess Association.— London, December 19. The rebellion in South Celebes against the Dutch continues. A Dutch convoy has been ambushed at Atom, and twelve of the guard were killed, and eight wounded. .

Tho war in South Celebes began in July owing to tho Dutch having- called upon tho native rulers to ; submit to ; the levying of Customs duties. There have been several battles, in all of which the Dutch have been victorious. In smaller affairs the rebols have had some successes. By tho end of September Boni, Wadju, Sidenreng, and Lmvu. had been subdued, and only the mountain district of Sappong held out. v
