TOWN HALL FOR OAMARU.

Oamaru, Wednesday. The poll in connection with a proposal to borrow £4000 to assist in the building of a town hall and municipal offices was carried to-day :by a majority of 259. The polling was 403 for the proposal.and 144 against.
Messrs. Wildman and Arey apologise for having s had to turn so many , people away from their Christmas card emporium at- one p.m. yesterday: ; They announce that all their shops will be open Saturday afternoon and evening (Christmas Eve) till eleven p.m.
