MEETING OF DRUIDS.

.The Druids of Te Aroha, Paeroa, Karanga* hake,-Waikino, and Waihi met in the Foresters' Hall, Waihi, on Tuesday night, for the half-yearly installation of officers, a special train from Paeroa being engaged to bring, out the-visiting .brethren. The 8.G.P.,} Brother Blomfiold, was present, also visitors V from' Pohsbnby Lodge: The installing offi-' , cer was assisted by. P.D.P.'s Brothers Grant ■ and Malcolmson. After the ceremony the' D.P., gave a brief resume of Druidism in; the No. 10 district. During the past year! there was, he said, an increase of nearly 200 members, and of this number the Sta'fl of Paeroa Lodge, Paeroa, had initiated 77.' '- A medal had been presented by the A.D. of '. the Pride of Waihi Lodge (Brother Robinson) for the member introducing the most / Mow members during his term of office, and) he now had pleasure in presenting it to! Brother Box.: The D.G.P.,' Brother Blomfield, then handed a silk umbrella to the ■' D.P.,, to bo presented to whom he considered) the, best Druid. Horning (president) occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance of members, including' ladies. Amongst the correspondence was a letter from the Harbour Board, in reply to the league's letter, asking for the removal ofi the rnudbank between Hobson .and Queen Street Wharfs, stating that the engineer had explained that there was ample water in th© channel outsido of the buoy for the Northcote ferry boat, and that measures would bo .taken, if possible, to prevent a/ recurrence of the matter complained of., .Mr., Fowler moved, .'.'That,a committee of five bo formed,'to draft "a 'programme of future roper a* tjons.'of the league.;- The committee to con- . sist of., Messrs;: Fowler, Massanai -'• Horning, Geo. Blomfield, president of the association, who occupied the chair, congratulated the Hon. Jas. McGowan ; and Mr. F.-;?E. '%'■, Baume upon their re-election as members of - Parliament also Mr. H. J. Greenslade, who ' had been elected as M.H.R.for Waikato. He also referred to the creditable fight made by two other Thames "boys," in the-recent Parliamentary election, viz., Messrs.
