MATCH WITH YORKSHIRE. 40 POINTS TO .NIL. By Telesrjph Press Association — Copyright. London, December 13. Thikty thousand spectators witnessed the match of the New Zealanders with Yorkshire to-day. The visitors made the pace warm from the start, and tries were. scored, by Booth (Otago) and Deans (Canterbury) in quick succession. Hunter (Taranaki) a little later added a third. Wallace succeeded in converting the last only. Before half-time Deans twice more crossed the line, and Mynott (Taranaki) got a. sixth. Wallace (Wellington) and Tyler (Auckland) each converted one, and half-time was •called with the score — New Zealand '-'^ Yorkshire ... « On starting the second spell the Yorkshire forwards set up a fine rush, and got to within a yard of the New Zealanders' line, but failed* to make further progress. Gradually the scene of play was removed, to Yorkshire's territory, and when within their 25 Booth got possession and crossed the line, and Hunter added a further try, and then McGregor (Wellington) twice got over. Wallace failed to place McGregor's tries over the bar, but succeeded with the other two, and - when no-side was Bounded the score was New Zealand - •♦• 40 Yorkshire ••• 0 New Zealand's score consisted of five goals and five tries. The New Zealanders have now played 27 matches, all. of which they have won, and have scored no less than 800 points, while but 22 points have been scored against them. The fourth international match, that against Wales, will bo played to-morrow (Saturday) at Cardiff.
