ARBITRATION COURT.

■ / THE SEAMEN'S DISPUTE. The hearing of the seamen's dispute in the Arbitration Court was concluded yesterday. Mr. J. H. Dunning, on-behalf of the Settlers' Company, called Captain Southgats, of the steamer Kapanui, who stated that in his opinion an eight-hour day was unworkable. - - Mr. C. Ranson, manager of the N.S.S. Co., and Mr. Dunning addressed the Court on behalf of the owners, and Mr. Belcher on behalf of the seamen briefly replied. The Court then adjourned. The .next setting to take evidence in the dispute will be,held in Wellington.
