VLADIVOSTOK MUTINY.
FOUR DAYS OF TERROR.
EIGHT HUNDRED CITIZENS KILLED.

Japanese residents at Vladivostok state that the mutiny there lasted from the 12th until the 16th, and that j the town is now in ashes. j The mutineers first attacked the headquarters of the garrison and murdered '100 officers .and soldiers. The firing of cannon in the streets was the signal for the starting of fires in six places at once. Petroleum was pumped on the flames. The mutineers became mad with vodka, and used their knives in all directions. They stabbed to death a general who was trying to control the troops. Altogether SOU • Russian \ citizens and 500 Chinese were killed. The whereabouts of the cruisers Eos si a and Gronioboi are unknown.
The I'ossia and Gromoboi. cruisers, were stationed at Vladivostok throughout the war.
