Telephone 906. A UCKLAND QRAHMAB gCHOOL. The School Year is divided into three terms, and begins in February. New pupils, whether holders of free places or not, are admitted only at the beginning of the Annual Session. The Fees for Paying Pupils are due on the first day of each Term. For Pupils over 13 years of age they are £3 10s per Term, reduced to £3 3s where more than one member (over thirteen) of the same family attend. The fee for each pupil under thirteen is £2 16s per Term. Free Pupils are admitted at the beginning of the School Year in February in accordance with the Regulations under the Secondary Schools Act, 1903. A Pupil is qualified to be the holder of a free place if— (A3 He is the holder of an Education Board or National Scholarship, provided that the value of the Scholarship is not greater than £40 in the case of a Pupil obliged to live away from home, or £10 in any other case; or if (B) Being not over fourteen years of age on the 31st December preceding the date of his admission he has. before entrance, obtained a certificate of proficiency as defined by the Regulations under the Education Act, 1877, or has qualified for a free place in the examination for Junior National Scholarships, or has obtained a Certificate , of Proficiency at the examination for Junior District Scholarships. The Headmaster is prepared to advise the parents of pupils from the country districts in the matter of securing residence in town for their children. . Notice of withdrawal of a pupil should be given before the last day of a term. Applications for admission should be made to the Headmaster at the School, or to Mr. W. A. Gumming, 315. The parents of children who desire to bo admitted to free places are recommended to send a written application to the Headmaster as Boon as possible after the publication of the list under which their children claim to be qualified.
