GEOLOGICAL SURVEY.

Macintosh Bull, director of tho Geological Survey Department, arrived in Coromandel to-day for tho purpose of commencing the geological survey of (ho Ilau•raki goldfields from Capo Cplvillo to Waihi. Tho work will Imj commenced in the vicinity of Cape Colville, where some members of the staff have already established a camp. The work to he undertaken in this district will take several months to complete. Mr. Colin JTrascr, B.Sc., one of Dr. Bell's anfhtants, is expected here shortly to take part in the work.
