A JOCKEY'S EARNINGS.

'.v.*,' • ' ■',;. Gisborne, Thursday. ■ ■ In giving evidence in a judgment summons case at the Magistrate's Court to-day, the defendant, a jockey, stated that he only earned lOsi a week; board free. Besides having to clothe himself, he had destitute parents dependent upon him. He had ridden four losing mounts at last week's race meeting, for which he. received nothing. The magistrate dismissed* the case. remarking that under the circumstances he could not make an order. " * "
