GALLERY NOTES AND LOBBY GOSSIP. [BY TELEGRAPH.— SPECIAL correspondent.] Wellington, Friday. Mr. J. McLeod, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, during his visit to Wellington this week, lias been giving his attention to matters connected with the Bill which has been introduced with the object of enabling the Board to borrow money on the security of its endowments for the purpose of defraying the cost of the new buildings and improvements to present buildings. Mr. McLeod has explained the position to several members, and he states that he has now every expectation of the Bill becoming law. AUCKLAND ELECTORAL ROLLS. Mr. Massey gave notice to-day to ask the Colonial Secretary if he will give instructions for the proper compilation and printing of the electoral rolls for the different electorates of Auckland City, the position being in the respects mentioned most unsatisfactory. Mr. Massey states that he lias been informed that the rolls just issued are practically three years old. and that in Auckland West and Auckland Central there are at present 1500 voters whose names are not enrolled.
